Caution: Use of an actuator supply gas other than air can create a hazardous
environment because a small amount of gas continuosly vents to atmosphere.
Typically, pneumatic control valves will be operated off standard 3-15 PSI (.21-1.06KG/CM2) control signal. However, many applications require two or more valves in sequence (staggered operation) with special operating ranges of 2-10 PSI (.14- .70KG/CM2) and 10-18 PSI (.70-1.27KG/CM2) for excellent process control. PRECISOR® Positioners are generally
recommended for this type of service, but with the combination of HI-FLOWTM valve body and LIN-E-AIRE
® actuator the positioner can often be eliminated.
Use the chart below to aid in the selection of the most economical HI-FLOWTM Control Valve for your application. As long as the maximum upstream pressure (USP) is less than, or, equal to, the value listed under the control signal operating range being used, the model shown can be manufactured and
calibrated to your specific requirements.
